Four Seasons Austin Review

I have just returned from Austin, Texas, where I spent six days and five nights at the Four Seasons, and I wanted to take a moment to post a Four Seasons Austin review.

The hotel is stately, truly a classic Four Seasons property, and it's perched on Town Lake, which is really not a lake at all, but rather a river that runs through downtown. The Four Seasons sits on one side, next to the Raddison and is conveniently located near the fun and excitement of 6th Street and Congress.

They have a lovely bar with delicious, albeit typically Four Seasons expensive food, and amazingly good service (be sure to ask for Terez if you go there). The drinks are tasty and the pizza (meat lovers) and free snacks are not to be missed.

Clean rooms do not disappoint, but I would have liked to have had that separate shower I so enjoy in many Four Seasons properties.

Room Service and Housekeeping were quick to meet any request, and on some nights you can catch the bats flying out from under the bridge from your river view room or the bar downstairs, just around dusk.

The doormen sentry the doors trying to let no one pass without a warm hello and the concierge was very helpful in assisting me in getting out a last minute FedEx.

Other than being a bit highly priced, I find it to be about the best hotel in Austin and well worth checking out. Be sure to check the site for specials, and be sure to check your bill carefully to be sure you aren't accidentally overcharged.
